Air pollution is the largest environmental health risk in Europe: exposure to the pollutants causes more than 700,000 deaths every year. Besides the contribution of large industries and the agricultural sector to this health issue, an important role is played by transport on city level. The easiest solution to improve our health and the air quality is by taking steps and travelling healthy.

A transition to active mobility in cities needs to be made now. As future health professionals, it is our responsibility to engage fellow students, health professionals and the public towards change.

Today is World Environment Day. Join us in our campaign and take your steps towards a healthy Europe!
