Especially during global health crises like the COVID-19 pandemic, digital health solutions have proven to be essential tools to defend public health and secure health systems. Equally, digital education is becoming more important in times of quarantine and a higher demand for a skilled health workforce.


The European Medical Students’ Association (EMSA) has created this toolkit to encourage future health care professionals to put the digitalisation of health care into practise. It provides an insightful context, an introduction to the topic of digital health and a framework to inspire students to start their own initiatives and discussions on moving forward.
