In cooperation with the IFMSA network, exchanges of around 200 medical students with fellow students from all over Europe and the world are organized throughout the year. Every student visits the host city for one month and stays at students’ flats or homes. Boarding is usually provided by the hosting students or by the local FMO of EMSA.

 


The programme includes an educational and a social part. During the educational part, students learn in an informal way through daily workshops, different things and improve their medical or research skills thus developing more self-confidence. They also come in contact with a different society and healthcare system. The social part, organized by the hosting students, aims in bringing those young people closer together as well as in an intercultural experience and dialogue.

 

 

Most EMSA’s faculty member organisations (FMOs) organize English tests once every year to evaluate all participant students in the programmes and in order to arrange the most suitable exchange for each student.

Travel costs are covered by the participants.
