Happy Europe Day!

the European Integration and Culture Team invites you to celebrate Europe Day on the 9th of May!

What is Europe Day?

Also known as Schuman Day, Europe Day is a commemoration of the 1950 Schuman Declaration which proposed the creation of a European Coal and Steel Community, the forerunner to the European Union.

It is the EU’s equivalent for “national day”. It has been celebrated each year since 1986 and it is the occasion for events and celebrations that draws Europe closer to its citizens.

How can we celebrate it?

EIC Team invites you to test your knowledge about the EU and discover new interesting facts. Today, more than ever, be proud and spread the Blue Spirit!

You can also get involved by sharing your Facebook profile picture with the Europe Day frame that you will find on the EMSA page, adding the hashtags: #EuropeDay #EMSAlovesEU.

The future of Europe is not something we inherit from our ancestors, but the values we believe in, the collaborations we create in the world and the mirror of us, of an European society, of the strength of unity. In the end, Europe is what we, Europeans, think and build up every single day, each one of us.
