Our EMSA President Elect Teuta Azizi was present at the EJD Autumn Meeting which took place from 27th to 28th of October in Malmo, Sweden representing and discussing on behalf of EMSA.

The European Junior Doctors (EJD)  was formally created in Bad-Nauheim, Germany, in May 1976 as Permanent Working Group of European Junior Doctors (PWG). Since then, the EJD has become the European medical organisation with the most comprehensive national membership, representing over 300.000 Junior Doctors all over Europe. The EJD’s initial objectives include safeguarding the interests of the Junior Doctors in Europe, improving relations between its member organizations and narrowing the gap between the Junior Doctors all over Europe.

At the beginning of the meeting three already existing working groups presented their reports and continued their work on the topics of “Medical Leadership”,”Free movement of doctors” and “Doctor’s burnout” and at last presented their goals for the upcoming months.

National members of EJD presented their reports, future meetings of the EJD were voted upon and also the new board was elected. Congratulations are in order and we wish the new EJD board a successful term and a further fruitful collaboration between the associations!

Our President presented the EMSA activities of 2017 and it was greatly received by the attendees and also our work was deeply appreciated by the VP of CPME and EJD board.

The meeting was very successful and concrete ideas of collaboration between EMSA and EJD are on their way!
